Who Am I?
I am a Field Technician, HomeLab enthusiast, Martial Artist, Co-Founder of Neo Native, and all around tech enjoyer!
Living and working from Fairbanks, I spend my days trying to optimize my time around building cool things and learning as much as I can.
While I work predominantly in Enterprise IT as a Field Technician, I spend a lot of time at work doing much more than that, from User and Server administration to general cybersecurity response and management.
My Credentials
- Associate of Arts from the University of Alaska Fairbanks
- 3 years of Mathematics and Statistics as well as Computer Science
- Blue Team Level 1 Certified
- Comptia Security+ Certified
- Comptia A+ Certified
My Work History
- IT Field Technician for Vicinity INC 2024 - Present Day - Working as a Field Technician in Fairbanks Alaska. Everything from Security Response, Network hardware upgrades, endpoint management, and more.
- Heavy Client Relations work, the "face of the company" with many individuals working remotely. Due to the size of Vicinity, I end up doing way more then just field work.
- Neo Native - 2024 - Present Day
- SEO, Web-dev, Shopify, Meta Ads, Email marketing, logistics/fullfillment.
- My wife wanted to start selling her art, and thus we started a small side business. With both of us not being sales men types... I realized we would be best suited to optimizing around a online business.
- First year and a half we saw minimal revenue, going into our full year 2 we are seeing reasonable growth with low thousands of dollars a month in revenue. Fun side business all around!
- Backwoods Coffee - 2022-2024 - Working as a Barista during college to make ends meet. Not the most enjoyable job but I got quite adapt at chatting with customers and making Espresso.
- University of Alaska Fairbanks Researcher - Summer of 2022
- Working full time at the UAF Botanical Gardens maintaining their Peony Fields while doing my own Peony Research.
- Modeling Bud Growth of Peony, Paeonia lactiflora
What Is This Website?
This website is to act as a showcase of my projects as well as to also provide some level of utility when YOU (or someone) wants to build similar things!
For this reason, I have organized the website into 3 main pillars:
- Projects - High-Level Summary and findings
- Notes - Detailed notes during projects
- Thoughts - My thoughts on projects, notes, etc.
The concept being you can start with a interesting Project, see the summary and a brief explanation, then use the reference Thoughts and Notes links to get a deeper story. If you are looking for just a summary, sticking to the projects will get you that... But if you need detailed notes or are curious about my thoughts during said project then the added Thoughts links will give you that!
Naturally, this website will be in a state of flux for quite some time - so please excuse any glitches and other things. While I made a template initially with Claude to get started, I have done the rest of this website organically for my own education.
